YPG Cares Holiday Book Drive & Gift Wrapping Party
In the spirit of giving, we are partnering with the Women’s National Book Association (WNBA) and the Children’s Book Council (CBC) to host a fun book drive and book wrapping party! We will have donations from various publishers and you should feel free to bring a book or two of your own. This year, donations will go to two wonderful organizations: Behind the Book, a literacy nonprofit that brings books into the classroom, and Community Caregivers, a volunteer-focused nonprofit in upstate New York with the mission to help neighbors within the community maintain independence.
We all know the power of a good story and its ability to inspire, so head out on Thursday, November 30th to the Children’s Book Council office located on 54 W 39th Street, New York, NY 10018 from 6:30 to 8:30 PM with a book or two to donate, and help wrap for the children and adults serviced by Behind the Book and Community Caregivers. We’re providing the wrapping paper and snacks as we all get together to spread a little holiday cheer through specially gift-wrapped books. There will be wine, music, and a whole lot of yuletide cheer.
