In 2016, Upwork and Freelancers Union conducted a study about freelancing and found that more people than ever are choosing to freelance – to be exact, 55 million in 2016, or 35% of the total U.S. workforce. If you’re wondering what it takes to be a freelancer working in the publishing industry, make sure to stop by this exciting BBL.
The panel will include freelance editor Sarah Branham (former senior editor at Atria Books); Ellice Lee, a former freelancer and now full-time book designer at Penguin; and a freelance writer, to be announced.
