2016 Annual Young to Publishing Group Conference
Mark your calendars, because it’s finally here! The AAP’s Annual Young to Publishing Conference will be on Tuesday, December 6th at Penguin Random House (1745 Broadway). This is YPG’s premier event of the year, and we look forward to seeing all of our young professional members there.
Planned topics for the conference include how agents and editors build/maintain relationships, a primer on corporate finance in media corporations, a case study of success in marketing & publicity, a review of free speech advocacy in contemporary book publishing, what it’s like to moonlight as an author, and more.
Speakers include Oren Teicher (CEO of American Booksellers Association), Brenda Copeland (Executive Editor at St. Martin’s Press), Renee Zuckerbrot (Literary Agent at Lippincott Massie McQuilkin), Josh Marwell (President of Sales at HarperCollins), Milena Alberti (CFO, Penguin Random House), Heather Fain (SVP and Director of Marketing Strategy at Hachette Book Group), Judy Platt (Director of Free Speech Advocacy, AAP), and Rakesh Satyal (Senior Editor of Atria/Simon & Schuster), author of the upcoming work, No One Can Pronounce My Name (Picador/Macmillan).
