YPG Diversity Presents: Latinos in Publishing

Cincopa video hosting solution for your website. Another great product from Cincopa Send Files.

People of Hispanic and/or Latino origin are the nation’s largest ethnic and/or racial minority. So why are they traditionally underrepresented in publishing? How is this changing in a time where diversity and inclusion in publishing can no longer be ignored?

Join us for a special and rare YPG panel opportunity, featuring Ray Garcia (Publisher, Celebra/PRH) and Johanna Castillo (Vice President, Atria/S&S), along with a few special guests. They will be discussing the Hispanic/Latino book market, their careers in publishing, and how diverse book publishing professionals will work to create more diverse books in 2016 and beyond. If you’ve ever wondered what exists outside of English-language trade publishing, come and learn how the industry is so much bigger than you might think.

All are welcome. RSVP and please note the venue change below.  Contact Sharon Watson at ypgcares@gmail.com with questions.

Date: September 8th, 2016
Time: 6 pm – 7 pm
Place: American Association of Publishers, 71 Fifth Avenue, 2nd fl., New York, NY
