It takes many people in many departments to create one book. Even experts in one role might have a murkier understanding of other roles throughout a book’s lifecycle. In this month’s BBL, learn how a book is made from start to finish. Walk through a timeline from concept to store shelf, understanding which departments serve which functions along the ‘assembly line’ of book creation.
Our speaker will be Rebecca Maines, adjunct faculty member at New York University’s School of Continuing and Professional Studies’ Publishing Program.
