YPG October BBL: I Don’t Remember the Title But the Cover Was Blue: The Front Lines of Bookselling

Cincopa video hosting solution for your website. Another great product from Cincopa Send Files.

There’s nothing quite like the feeling of walking into your local bookstore—and here in New York, we’re lucky to have dozens of amazing bookstores, both large and small, to visit in person when we’re craving new books to feed our already overflowing shelves. What goes into the business of running a brick-and-mortar bookstore in 2015? What makes a successful bookstore event? How do you handsell a book to just the right person? And what can those of us on the publisher side of the shelf do to help booksellers get our books into the hands of the right readers? If you’ve wondered about any of these questions, join us for October’s Brown Bag Lunch with panelists including:

  • Aurora Anaya-Cerda, founder of La Casa Azul Bookstore
  • Peter Glassman, founder of Books of Wonder
  • Greg Newton, co-founder of the Bureau of General Services – Queer Division
  • Cristin Stickles, Children’s/YA buyer at McNally Jackson

This event will take place from 12:30-1:30pm on Tuesday, October 20th at HarperCollins (195 Broadway, 22nd Floor). RSVP HERE!
