JOIN AAP’S MID-TO-PUBLISHING GROUP (MPG)!
After several years of working in the industry, perhaps you aren’t feeling so “young” to publishing anymore and are looking for new networking and growth opportunities. Many of you came to our Mid-to-Publishing Town Hall and Happy Hour this June, led by Sara Sargent (former chair of the AAP’s Young to Publishing Group) and Annie Stone (VP of programming, Women’s National Book Association), and provided great ideas at a casual round-table discussion about programming suited for publishing professionals in the 4-8(ish) years of experience range. Based on the discussion at that event, we are planning a MPG happy hour in the fall to kick things off and will be reaching out to form a Planning Committee for ongoing editor/agent happy hours, networking events, and educational panels on career growth and mid-career challenges. If you would like to join the distro for MPG to be kept informed about programming as it is developed, this is your chance!
IF THE TIME IS RIGHT FOR YOU TO JOIN MPG (whether you remain in YPG as well or not), PLEASE SIGN UP FOR THE MID-TO-PUB DISTRO HERE. Email midtopub@gmail.com with any questions.
