YPG Kids: Invited to Join Two NYPL Events

Cincopa video hosting solution for your website. Another great product from Cincopa Send Files.

NYPLYPG Kids (anyone in YPG interested in children’s and teen publishing) is invited to join the NYPL Children’s Literary Salon each month (For a full list of upcoming Children’s Literary Salon, go here), and the next one is on Saturday, February 7th at 2:00pm: Collaborating Couples. Living together is one thing.  Working together?  Another entirely.  Just in time for Valentine’s Day, join married couples Andrea & Brian Pinkney (MARTIN & MAHALIA) and Sean Qualls & Selina Alko (THE CASE FOR LOVING), and Betsy & Ted Lewin (HOW TO BABYSIT A LEOPARD) as they discuss the pitfalls and pleasures of creating collaboratively. This event will be held in the Stephen A. Schwarzman Building (42nd and 5th) in the South Court Auditorium.  Please see the Information Desk in the front lobby for directions.  Questions about this event can be directed to Youth Materials Specialist for BookOps, Betsy Bird, at elizabethbird@bookops.org.

Immediately following the Salon in the South Court Auditorium, from 3:30-5:00pm, is an NYPL event on Best Books for Kids and Teens 2014. Hear from NYPL reps all about the books that won their hearts, kept them up late at night, and that ones they find worthy of the title ‘best of 2014.’ This event is open to all library lovers! Refreshments will be served. Register ONLINE.
