YPG College & university Outreach Trainung (New! Lunchtime Webinar)
Would you be interested in speaking about career opportunities in book publishing at colleges and universities—your alma mater or elsewhere—in the area? AAP would love YPG members to represent the publishing industry and www.bookjobs.com at local educational institutions. We will provide you with all the handouts, materials, and training you might need, but we need volunteers!
Twice a year there is an after-work training for all interested YPG members, but this is our first time offering the training via lunchtime webinar (details TK). It will take place on Thursday, March 27th from 12:30-1:30pm and will be led by Sonia Lynaugh in Human Resources at Penguin Group USA. Since the beginning of our YPG’s College and University Outreach program (an initiative of the AAP’s Diversity to Recruit and Retain Committee, DRRC) in February 2012, our members have taken part in over 48 educational seminars, speaking engagements, career fairs, and informational panels.
