YPG Book to Film Club: Blade Runner/Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?
Our first YPG Book to Film Club selection of 2014 will be DO ANDROIDS DREAM OF ELECTRIC SHEEP? by Philip K. Dick (Doubleday, 1968). The novel is set in a post-apocalyptic near future, where Earth and its populations have been damaged greatly by nuclear war during World War Terminus. The main plot follows Rick Deckard, a bounty hunter who is faced with “retiring” six escaped androids. The book inspired the 1982 film BLADE RUNNER, directed by Ridley Scott and starring Harrison Ford.
