BookExpo America 2013: Call for YPG Volunteers
BookExpo America reached out to YPG specifically to offer us an opportunity to volunteer at BEA 2013. Show dates are Thursday, May 30th through Saturday, June 1st at the Javits Center. Areas that need volunteers include prepping the author breakfasts, monitoring and running the autographing area, assisting the BEA conference program, preparing for and assisting with the IDPF Digital Book Conference, working the info books, welcoming international guests to the International Rights Center, greeting consumers at the Power Reader Lounge, and serving as a floater to help in several areas of the show. Volunteers are asked to sign up for two full shifts between Tuesday, May 28th and Saturday, June 1st, as your schedules permit (see attached form for shift and task breakdowns). It is a wonderful way to see the Show without having to buy a badge! It’s a great way to network, meet authors and give back to the industry.
