YPG April BBL: New Adult – Bridging the Gap Between Young Adult and Adult Literature
Heard the buzz word “New Adult” lately and want to know what it’s all about? This category of novels—from overnight sensations like Jamie McGuire, S.C. Stephens, Abbi Glines, Colleen Hoover, Nicole Williams, Cora Carmack, and Tammara Webber—is aimed at the post-high school and young professional crowd, a consumer base that previously hadn’t been an editorial focus. This new craze has taken over the New York Times, Amazon, and Barnes & Noble best sellers lists, and our April BBL will tell you everything you want to know about the genre. So come join the discussion on Wednesday, April 17, 2013 from 12:30-1:30PM at HarperCollins (10 E. 53rd St. between 5th and Madison Aves.).
Free copies of several New Adult titles will be available! Panelists include:
• Andrea Cremer, New York Times bestselling author of the YA Nightshade series and a forthcoming Dutton adult series in 2013
• Jessica Horvath, Associate Editor at Dutton/Penguin Group and editor of Andrea Cremer
• Phoebe Yeh, Editorial Director at HarperCollins Children’s Books and editor of Nicole Williams’ Crash series
• Suzie Townsend, Agent at New Leaf Literary and agent of Cora Carmack
• Moderated by Sara Sargent, YPG Chair
