If one of your New Year’s resolutions is to stay healthy, this is your chance! Back by popular demand after our first collaboration with Yoga Vida, please join us for a night of yoga—perfect for beginners—with fellow YPG members!
When: Tuesday, February 7th from 7:00pm-8:00pm
Where: Yoga Vida, located at 666 Broadway at Bond Street, 3rd Floor
How much: covers cost of YPG class and unlimited yoga for the week. Free mat and towel rental included for YPG class. (If you’re not a first timer, you still get the YPG discount for this class!)

On Wednesday, February 8th, come show your Story Love with YPG Cares! From 7:00-8:30pm, YPG Cares will be holding our fourth volunteer event for the Story Pirates at the Drama Book Shop (250 W. 40th Street) to hand-write positive editorial feedback on the short stories local NYC schoolchildren have submitted during the year.

On Saturday, February 11, from 11:00 am- 2:00 pm, the Center for Fiction needs 8-10 YPG volunteers to help with the sorting, unpacking, and organizing of a huge donation (20,000 books!) that they just received for their NYC schools book drive. The sorting will take place at their offices (17 East 47th Street). Please RSVP to Mark Gottlieb (gottlieb.assistant@tridentmediagroup.com) if you would like to join.

AAP would love YPG members to represent the publishing industry and www.bookjobs.com at local educational institutions. There will be an AFTER-WORK TRAINING for all interested YPG members on Wednesday, February 15th
from 6:30-7:45 PM at the AAP New York offices (71 Fifth Avenue, second floor).

* Book-to-Film Club: Nick & NoraBook-to-Film Club: Nick & Nora

In honor of Valentine’s Day, our next book to film will be NICK AND NORAH’S INFINITE PLAYLIST by Rachel Cohn and David Levithan (Knopf Books for Young Readers). The 2008 film by the same title was adapted for the screen by Lorene Scafaria. It is directed by Peter Sollett and stars Michael Cera and Kat Dennings. The viewing and discussion will take place on Wednesday, February 22nd at 7:00pm, location TBD.
