SOCIAL: LIT CRAWL NYC WITH PEN AMERICA

Cincopa video hosting solution for your website. Another great product from Cincopa Send Files.

YPG is excited to be collaborating with PEN America for their biannual Lit Crawl on Saturday, April 21, where bookish pub nerds can bounce from literary event to literary event, making new logophile friends and waxing poetic about the new reading series they just discovered. The night has three phases: Phase 1 (6-7pm), Phase 2 (7-8 pm), and Phase 3 (8-9 pm), followed by an after party! The schedule will be announced early next week, in all of its glory, but you can take a look at the schedule from last year’s Lit Crawl in Brooklyn to get a feel for what’s to come.

As part of our new collaboration with Lit Crawl, YPG will be hosting a fun and interactive game show–esque event as part of the crawl. Think Whose Line Is It Anyway? meets Pictionary in a timed contest for the best creation, design, and pitch of a book, improvised with help from audience suggestions. Our event will take place from 6:00 – 7:00 pm during the first phase of Lit Crawl, and then we’ll be joining the crawl as a group and heading to two more literary events!

We are looking for 9 outgoing, enthusiastic, and creative participants to act as the key players in our event. If you’re interested in participating, email us at youngtopublishing@publishers.org with the subject line “LAUNCH! Contestant” by Tuesday, April 10. We’ll contact you shortly thereafter with more details.

If you intend to join us for the event and the subsequent crawl, please RSVP here. We’ll contact you with the group’s crawl itinerary soon.

Lit Crawl is also looking for volunteers to help man their other events. If interested, please email litcrawlnyc@gmail.com.

The PEN America Lit Crawl will take place on Saturday, April 21 from 6:00 – 9:00 pm in the East Village, NYC. The after-party will follow from 9-11pm at a location TBD. You can find more information about the Lit Crawl and descriptions of events at https://pen.org/event/lit-crawl-nyc-3/.
